Happy Fathers Day! Today is an exciting time, the Summer Equinox!! Marking the highest point of the Sun in our skies, and the most hours of daylight. We should hopefully feel energised by the increased daylight and sunshine that we've been happily enjoying (with luck you've been finding time to stand in the light and absorb the sun's healing energy). I'm happy to say I'm feeling renewed and energised and look forward to the next 6 months, to my baby bump growing bigger, spending time with my family and friends over the summer, and focusing on nesting and clearing space to prepare for all the changes ahead.
This weekend marks 4 weeks exactly until CircusFit Flyers goes on tour....
On Saturday 18th July 2015 CircusFit Flyers Level 1 Teacher Training will make its debut in the North of England. This course has been delivered to London and Kent areas until now and I can't wait to get to Manchester and start flying :-)
The course will take place the the fabulous Bodybarre Studios in Central Manchester. Equipped with trapezes, silks, ropes, hammocks, baby bump, and a wonderful friend to assist me, I'll be arriving on Friday 17th to set up.
There will be a masterclass on Saturday 18th 9.30-10.30am before the teaching training course begins, so please get in touch if you would like to come along and see what CircusFit Flyers is all about.
In the meantime I continue to have a student hat on as I prepare to be assessed next weekend... my 200 hours Aditya Yoga School exams!!! Yes I still get nervous when I take exams. I truly believe in being in a constant state of learning. Unfortunately for my revision schedule, the big distraction at the moment is baby books. I read a stack of books the first time round, but that was 6 years ago. Now it feels like I'm a in another world. So when I'm not slipping into this NEW pregnancy world, I'm going over my Sanskrit and revising Vyus, Bandas, Chakras & Nadis!!
Here is a video from earier in the year, showing a sequence of moves that we build up to in CircusFit Flyers sessions. Flyers really is a class for the absolute beginner and the aspiring aerial performer, but the best part of it is that the work never feels like exercise, it feels exhilarating, satisfying and fun. More videos of classes are available to look at, take a glance at the CircusFit facebook page, or email me to ask me any specific questions about the course and its content!!
